NEW YORK, Nov. 5, 2026 — Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has further strengthened its capabilities in stadium and arena financing and development with the addition of real estate attorney Jason Goldstein as a shareholder in its New York office.

Goldstein, who joins from Winston Taylor, focuses his practice on complex real estate finance transactions and sports stadium and arena development. With nearly 30 years of legal experience, he has represented major developers and lenders in some of the largest stadium and arena projects and transactions across the United States and Canada.

"Jason's addition reflects our continued investment in sophisticated real estate finance capabilities, including stadium and arena financing, an important strategic area for the firm," Greenberg Traurig Executive Chairman Richard A. Rosenbaum said. "His experience complements the multidisciplinary capabilities we are building across the United States and globally to serve clients involved in complex sports and real estate financing and development matters worldwide."

Goldstein's experience includes negotiating project ground leases and development documents, facility use agreements, and financings throughout the lifecycle of stadium and arena projects. He also has broad real estate finance experience representing commercial lenders in conventional mortgage and construction lending, loan workouts, and restructurings.

"Stadium and arena projects bring together financing, real estate, development, and operational considerations, making Jason's experience particularly valuable to our clients," said Denis Braham, co-chair of the firm's Sports Business Industry Group and member of the Real Estate Practice in Houston. "His addition bolsters our ability to advise clients on sports-related projects and transactions at a time of significant activity and investment in stadium and arena development across North America."

Among his representative matters, Goldstein negotiated temporary and permanent use agreements for a national sports franchise pursuing a relocation, and he advised lenders on a significant senior secured facility to fund the construction of a new NBA arena in a major metropolitan area. He also represented lenders in the private bank financing for the construction of a new stadium in a major metropolitan area involving $1.8 billion in total financing sources, including public and private financing, equity, and NFL financing.

"Having worked with and across from Greenberg Traurig lawyers over the years, including Denis, I have always been impressed by their professionalism, collegiality, and approach to client service," Goldstein said. "I was drawn to the firm's collaborative culture and the opportunity to be part of a team that is excited to accomplish big things together. I look forward to working with my new colleagues to continue growing the firm's sports and real estate finance capabilities while also helping to mentor and develop the next generation of Greenberg Traurig lawyers."

Goldstein's arrival is the latest step in Greenberg Traurig's continued expansion of its sports law capabilities, including stadium and arena financing, a strategic area the firm has been building across its global platform. That growth has included strategic additions in key markets, such as Steven Bainbridge in Dubai, Robert Turner in London, Andrea Austin and Kevin H. Kelley in Denver, and Brian Michael Cooper in Houston, bringing experience spanning international sports, stadium and arena projects, and team- and league-side matters.

Goldstein earned his J.D. from Yeshiva University's Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and his B.A. from Haverford College.
